Apple quietly lowered almost all highest estimated recycling prices for used iPhones, iPads, Macs and Apple Watches.
Yesterday Apple's website showed that the iPhone XS Max's trade-in price is estimated to be as high as $600, but today Apple only offers $500, which is $100 less.
The only devices that haven't been reduced are the MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, Mac mini and "Apple Watch" series 1, 2 and 3 generations.
The price adjustment involves markets such as the United States, China, the United Kingdom, and Germany.
Apple has aggressively promoted its "iPhone" trade-in program in its retail stores and websites, and CEO Tim Cook recently claimed that one-third or more of its customers patronize its retail stores to eventually swap out old devices for new ones.
