Dell is working to make its laptops more attractive to iPhone users with the company saying the Dell Mobile Connect feature will soon support iPhones to allow users to mirror their phone screens to Dell laptops wirelessly.
Dell Mobile Connect was released in 2018. Dell claims that it has enabled more than one million users to seamlessly connect PCs and smartphones, eliminating the need for users to switch back and forth between the two screens of the computer and the phone.
This spring, the software will further expand its wireless transmission and application mirroring capabilities to the iPhone 11. At that time, XPS, Inspiron, Vostro, ALIENWARE, and Dell G-series users will be available.
Users can directly use the mobile application on their Dell PC. They can make calls, send text messages, view phone notifications, drag and drop files via PC, and directly use their mirroring function to use social software.
Until then, iPhone users using Mobile Connect can receive notifications and send messages. Dell said that users have sent more than 150 million phone calls and text messages through the software, half of which were sent via Apple devices.
