OnePlus 8 Pro will be the most beautiful OnePlus phone ever, Pete Lau, founder and CEO of OnePlus at a Beijing event on December 23.
In October, massive leaks showed the pop-up selfie camera used by the OnePlus 7 Pro and 7T Pro could be replaced on the OnePlus 8 Pro with a hole-punch notch.
Unofficial renders based on information provided by tipster OnLeaks revealed that there is a fourth sensor on the back of the next OnePlus flagship — a 3D time-of-flight sensor for depth-sensing.
Earlier this month, renders from CashKaro and OnLeaks show the OnePlus 8 very much like existing OnePlus devices, and there is one notable change: there's a hole-punch camera instead of a notch or pop-up.
It seems as though the OnePlus 8 will be the first mainline OnePlus device to come with a truly curved 6.5-inch display. It won't, however, include the pop-up selfie camera, instead, it will come with a selfie camera hidden within an upper-left punch-hole display notch.
Earlier this month, Lau said OnePlus will not purely pursue for cheaper prices but value for money.
Lau believes that it is very important to make products based on user value. For example, OnePlus invested 100 million yuan in customization costs in order to make 90Hz screens.
