At today's OPPO developer conference, Liu Bo, vice president of OPPO and president of the emerging mobile terminal business unit, announced that OPPO will launch an IoT enablement action, opening HeyThings IoT protocol, HeyThings IoT service platform and audio interconnection protocol.
He also said that OPPO Watch and health platform will be released in the first quarter of 2020.
Liu Bo said that OPPO's vision in IoT is: starting from daily life, creating a multi-terminal, cross-scenario IoT ecosystem. Focus on core categories and cover four scenarios: personal, family, travel and office.
He announced that OPPO will launch the IoT Enabling Action. First open the HeyThings IoT protocol, which can achieve multi-protocol compatibility, local connectivity and multi-brand interconnection. OPPO will open protocol documents, SDKs and modules to help faster access to IoT products.
OPPO will open the HeyThings IoT service platform, including product development, service customization, and data operations. It will be launched in the first quarter of 2020.
Finally, the open audio interconnection protocol is implemented to realize the connection between third-party smart headphones and OPPO mobile phones. The first batch of capabilities will be opened in June 2020, including quick pairing and power display.
Liu Bo also revealed that OPPO's first smart watch product, OPPO Watch and health platform, will be released in the first quarter of 2020. From the current information, OPPO's smart watch products will focus on health services.
