Xiaomi announced this morning that it will release the Redmi K30 series and AIoT smart new products at a press conference to be held at 14:00 on December 10.
Xiaomi said that the Redmi K30 uses Qualcomm's latest 5G processor which supports SA and NSA dual-mode 5G. This will be Redmi's first 5G mobile phone and the first dual-mode 5G mobile phone in the Xiaomi series.
At present, chips supporting 5G dual-mode are relatively limited. In addition to Kirin 990 5G, there are Samsung Exynos 980, Qualcomm 7 Series 5G SOC and Snapdragon 865 that have not yet been released, and MediaTek just released 5G SoC platform Teana 1000.
Based on previous reports, Redmi K30 is likely to be equipped with Qualcomm 7 Series 5G SOC. At the IFA 2019 exhibition in September, Qualcomm announced the launch of 7 series 5G SoC with 7nm technology.
This will be Qualcomm's first native mobile platform with integrated 5G baseband and will be commercially available in Q4.
According to previous reports, the Redmi K30 series will provide two models, K30 and K30 PRO, the former using Qualcomm 5G chips, while the latter will be equipped with the latest MediaTek Teana 1000.
The slogan of the Redmi K30 series is "5G Pioneer". Prior to this, Xiaomi has made it clear that at least 10 5G mobile phones will be released next year. The Redmi K30 series will launch its first launch of 5G mobile phones.
According to Xiaomi's previous strategy, the Redmi K30 series is bound to be a representative of the highest price/performance ratio with low price.
In the near future, there are plans to start 5G mobile phones. Users with high configuration requirements and price sensitive users deserve attention.
