Dual selfie cameras on smartphones are not unusual today, but spreading them on different corners is something seldom heard of.
Latest patent document show Xiaomi is going to do just that.
The listing reveals a smartphone design with a front-facing cameras crammed up in the upper corners of the front panel.
At first, the cutout seems smaller than the current punch-hole implementations and some of the pictures even suggest that cutout isn't even necessary.

It may seem a bit strange at first but think of it if dual front-facing cameras become a more common thing, Xiaomi's solution seems reasonable enough, GSM Arena said in a story.
Dual selfie cameras are becoming a popular thing recently. Vivo, another Chinese smartphone manufacturer, released the new V17 Pro smartphone which has a quad rear camera and a dual selfie pop-up camera, the first of its kind.
On the front, the 32-megapixel main camera is coupled with an 8-megapixel wide camera which should make those group selfie shots more manageable.
Due to the dual front cameras, the pop-up module is unusually wide, but is completely invisible when the front cameras are not in use.
Since the selfie cameras are neatly tucked away in that pop-up module, the phone's front is basically all screen. It's a 6.44-inch, Super AMOLED display with just a touch of chin on the bottom, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
