Xiaomi's MiMo artificial intelligence (AI) model has surpassed 1 trillion tokens in a single day for the first time, marking a major milestone for the company in the AI sector.

Lei Jun, Xiaomi's founder, chairman and CEO, announced the news on Weibo on Friday, noting that the milestone was reached the previous day on April 2.

As model usage continues to surge, Xiaomi is accelerating the commercialization of its AI services.

The company announced on Friday the official launch of a token plan subscription service for global developers, offering four billing tiers.

The entry-level Lite plan is priced at 34.32 yuan ($4.9) per month, while the top-tier Max plan costs 659 yuan per month, or $100 per month for international developers. All plans offer a 12% discount on the first purchase.

The two mid-tier options, Standard and Pro, are priced at 99 yuan and 329 yuan per month, respectively.

The Lite plan includes 60 million credits, capable of executing about 120 medium-to-complex tasks, making it suitable for explorers new to AI development.

The Standard plan includes 200 million credits for about 400 medium-to-complex tasks, while the Pro and Max plans offer 700 million and 1.6 billion credits, respectively.

"Good technology should not be a privilege for the few; it should be like water and electricity — accessible productivity for everyone at a predictable price," Xiaomi said.

Xiaomi's coding plan can be used with mainstream AI tools including Claude Code, OpenClaw, OpenCode, Kilo Code, Cline, Hermes Agent, and CodeBuddy Code.

The surge in token usage highlights the fierce competition in the AI sector, with Xiaomi's flagship AI model MiMo-V2-Pro, launched last month, helping to consolidate its market share.

Designed for high-intensity agent workflows in the real world, Xiaomi MiMo-V2-Pro features over 1 trillion total parameters and includes 42 billion active parameters.

Artificial intelligence agents will serve as the next major traffic gateway, fundamentally rewriting the rules of app distribution, Deutsche Bank said in a research note on March 8.
