- Baidu launched a zero-deployment AI agent service named DuClaw on Wednesday to lower the technical threshold for users.
- The move intensifies the fierce competition in desktop AI applications with rivals such as Tencent, Alibaba, and ByteDance.

Baidu unit Baidu Smart Cloud has released DuClaw, its version of "OpenClaw," on Wednesday, to help users with no technical background eliminate the barriers to deploying artificial intelligence.
Users do not need to select images, deploy cloud servers, or configure API keys themselves, and can use the service directly on the web, Baidu said.
The introductory price for the DuClaw service combined with the Qianfan Coding Plan in March is 17.8 yuan ($2.59) for the first month, compared with its original price of 142 yuan per month.
DuClaw has built-in skills such as Baidu Search, Baidu Baike, and Baidu Scholar, allowing users to switch among multiple mainstream large language models.
These supported models include DeepSeek, Kimi-K2.5, GLM-5, and MiniMax-M2.5, providing flexibility for users to complete complex tasks.
Baidu plans to gradually add support for enterprise communication applications such as WeCom, DingTalk, and Feishu in future updates, making the AI assistant easily accessible.
OpenClaw is an open-source AI agent capable of calling large models and automatically controlling local environments and task workflows, often referred to as a digital employee.
The Baidu App officially supported the one-click invocation of OpenClaw on February 14, making it one of the first mainstream applications in China to help users run the agent.
Baidu's latest move comes against the backdrop of Chinese tech giants intensively releasing desktop AI products.
Tencent is testing QClaw, a local AI assistant controlled by WeChat, just one day after the company launched its zero-deployment WorkBuddy.
Rival Alibaba fully opened its desktop agent QoderWork, which features plug-and-play and secure local execution, on March 3 to grab market share.
ByteDance's Volcano Engine launched ArkClaw on March 9, an out-of-the-box, cloud-based software-as-a-service version of the OpenClaw platform.
Zhipu introduced AutoClaw on Tuesday, a local version of OpenClaw pre-installed with over 50 popular skills.
The release of DuClaw intensifies the Chinese AI race as all major players strive to meet the diverse needs of users.
