The e-CNY, China's fiat digital currency, is getting closer to the lives of ordinary people.

On May 8, the e-CNY App was updated and the wallet operator "MYBank (Alipay)" was made available.

At the same time, Industrial & Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Bank of Communications, and Postal Savings Bank of China all added support for Alibaba's Eleme, Fresh Ma, and Tmall under their e-CNY wallets.

Some Alipay users have also been able to use e-CNY, but the function is still in the process of internal test.

This means that the e-CNY wallet has established a connection with China's most widely used Internet payment platform.

As the largest third-party mobile payment platform in China, Alipay connects more than 80 million merchants and over 2,000 financial institution partners, with over 1 billion users in China.

The e-CNY App is the application platform for China's pilot digital currency, and several state-owned banks are already participating by setting up sub-wallets.

However, the sub-wallet of another Internet bank, Tencent's WeBank, is not yet active in the e-CNY App.
