Chinese phone maker OnePlus announced Monday that the OnePlus 9 series with Hasselblad-tuned cameras will be released on March 23.
OnePlus held an imaging conference on Monday to announce a three-year partnership with Hasselblad.
The OnePlus9 series will come with "Hasselblad Pro Mode" for professional users and "Hasselblad Natural Color Optimization," OnePlus said.
OnePlus says it has established four imaging R&D centers around the world and will invest RMB 1 billion ($153 million) in the imaging experience over the next three years.
Rumors say the OnePlus 9 series will include the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and OnePlus 9R, and that OnePlus will launch its first smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch.
The OnePlus 9 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 888 chip, 48MP primary camera, 50MP secondary primary camera, 8MP, and 2MP lenses on the rear, and support for recording 8K@30 and 4K@120 videos.
OnePlus 9 will be powered by Snapdragon 888 chip with a 6.55-inch 120Hz refresh rate FHD+ screen, two main cameras from OnePlus 9 Pro, and a 2 MP camera on the rear, with a 4500mAh battery.
The OnePlus 9R will be the least expensive phone in the series with a 6.5-inch 90Hz FHD+ screen and Snapdragon 690 chip with a 64MP main camera and 5000mAh battery.
Hasselblad is a film camera manufacturer based in Gothenburg, Sweden, whose cameras have been used by the Swedish Royal Air Force and the US Apollo program.
