Suzhou, a city in eastern China, will launch its second digital RMB gift money distribution of RMB 30 million yuan on February 5, each amounting to RMB 200, for a total of 150,000 gift money packages.
Suzhou has already successfully distributed 20 million RMB of digital RMB consumer gift money in December 2020, and this year the campaign is jointly organized by the Suzhou Municipal People's Government and Chinese e-commerce platform JD.com.
To participate in the campaign, Suzhou citizens need to meet the following two requirements.
1. one (or more) normal social security payment record within the greater city of Suzhou in the last three years (by month).
2. Household registration or temporary residence within the city of Suzhou.
The digital RMB Suzhou New Year's Eve gift money will be issued in the form of a "lottery", people will fill in the information on the app and register for the event first.
Winners can use their digital RMB Suzhou New Year's Eve gift money to make purchases online at Jingdong, an e-commerce company, or at designated offline merchants in Suzhou.
