China Mobile's 5G subscription customer base grew by a net 17.621 million in December 2020 to reach a cumulative 165.03 million, according to figures released by the company today.
Compared with 2.55 million at the end of 2019, China Mobile's 5G package customers grew by a net 162.453 million, far exceeding its target of 70 million net additions expected in its 2019 annual results report.
As of the end of December, China Mobile's mobile customer base decreased by a net 1.792 million, with a total of 941.918 million subscribers. For the full year 2020, China Mobile's mobile customer base decreased by a net 8.359 million.
In December, the number of China Mobile 4G customers increased by a net 1.711 million to a cumulative total of 775.306 million.
