ZTE to boost smartphone business, plans to build 5,000 retail outlets next year

ZTE is doubling down on its smartphone business and plans to build 5,000 retail locations, set up offline retail systems, and build the first ZTE 5G experience pavilions next year, the company said.

On November 30, ZTE's terminal channel partner conference was held in Chengdu, where the company announced its future product strategy for the Chinese market.

ZTE said that it will seize the opportunity of the 5G shift next year to unify its three brands - ZTE, Nubia, and Red Devil - and fully expand its operator and public market operations.

ZTE said that its terminal business will return to the Chinese consumer market in 2021, and it is committed to building a new terminal brand image of technology, quality, and youth.

ZTE will integrate smartphones, personal and home data, and peripheral eco-products, along with ZTE Cloud, to build a complete eco-system and scenario to help users realize a seamless 5G smart lifestyle experience, the company said.
