At tonight's Nut 2020 launch event, ByteDance's smartphone making arm unveiled the Nut R2 phone, bringing with it a curved full screen, 100 million pixel lens, and 5G network support.
The Nut R2 8G + 128GB version is priced at RMB 4,499 ($673). The 8G + 256GB version is priced at RMB 4,799. The 12G + 256GB version is priced at RMB 5299. The 16G + 512GB version is priced at RMB 6,499.
At the launch event, Nut Mobile specially introduced the pure white Nut R2 handset, the pure white Nut R2 is the ultimate in pure white from front to back. Only 2,000 pure white phones were produced this time, and they may not be made pure white again in the future. This could be the last pure white phone in the history of the mobile phone industry.
The Nut R2 is also available in black and green versions. The continuation of the green color scheme tries a more metallic AG glass on the back for a purely light and elegant match.
On 5G phones, mid-frame breakpoints can be as high as six or seven, but this is very damaging to the aesthetics and integrity of the phone, so the Nut team eliminated them one by one to create a high-gloss metal mid-frame without them, without affecting the signal in any way.
Nut has experimented with a transparent red and metal hybrid, allowing the small logo to have more detail than glass and metal, with an embossed texture hidden beneath the glass back panel.
Nut mobile phone this time also brings the "Revolution 2 Time Special Edition". A light-sensitive layer has been printed on the pure white back panel, which will instantly show up when the sun shines, and when the sun doesn't shine, the pattern on the back of the phone will be quiet and hidden.
The Nut R2 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, dual-mode 5G, WiFi 6, 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 512GB of UFS3.1 ROM, and a 6.67-inch Full HD 90 Hz dual-curved AMOLED screen.
It has a 4510mAh battery capacity and supports 55 W fast charging.
