Baidu announces full opening of self-driving taxi service in Beijing

Chinese search engine giant Baidu today announced the full opening of its automated taxi service in Beijing, allowing users to use the service at dozens of automated taxi stations.

These sites are located in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area, Haidian District and Shunyi District. Users can directly place an order for a free trial ride without making a reservation.

The experience will run from October 10 to November 6. There are currently two ways to use the service:

Baidu Maps - Taxi - Autopilot - Select pick-up and drop-off points - Select number of riders - Call Apollo GO now.
