According to a videos posted online, Huawei's Songshan Lake lab in Dongguan caught fire and smoke billowed from the scene.
Multiple videos show the fire started at Huawei's Songshan Lake Tuanbowa lab, which is said to be a materials lab.
Sina Tech quoted Huawei sources as saying that the fire started in Songshan Lake Park in Dongguan, and the smoke is now relatively thick, but fire trucks have arrived on the scene and the fire is under control.
According to CCTV, Huawei Songshan Lake laboratory fire in Dongguan is being put out.
The building on fire is made of steel structure and the main burning materials are sound-absorbing cotton.
There are no casualties for now, the report said.
Yicai.com quoted local authorities as saying the building is not related to any lab. It is under renovation and construction and is not in use.
