Although the official release date for the Huawei Mate40 series has not been announced, users can reportedly start making reservations at select physical retail stores in China.
The Huawei Mate40 series phones can already be booked at Huawei Experience Stores, with users already making deposits, according to Weibo digital blogger @长安数码君.
The blogger posted a "Huawei Experience Store Quality Assurance Sheet" showing that the user booked a Huawei Mate40 Pro phone with a deposit of 300 yuan ($43).
It's worth noting that this is just a printed receipt for the deposit, which could have been generated by anyone through simple means. However, the seller's information on that receipt appears to be very genuine.
It's not surprising that offline pre-orders are being made with two months to go before the flagship goes on sale.
Previous reports suggest that the Huawei Mate40 and Mate40 Pro will be powered by a 5nm Kirin 9000 processor and both will feature curved displays.
The Huawei Mate40 Pro will come pre-installed with Android 11-based EMUI 11 as well as Huawei Mobile Services (HMS).
