PUBG Mobile gets 90 FPS support, but only for OnePlus phones-CnTechPost

OnePlus and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Mobile (PUBG Mobile) are teaming up to offer exclusive in-game 90Hz support for theย  premium Chinese phone brand's devices.ย

However, it should be noted that the 90Hz refresh rate feature in PUBG Mobile seems to have been prepared for other smartphones, but OnePlus has been granted temporary exclusivity for the feature.

According to the companies, OnePlus users can exclusively play the game at a 90Hz screen refresh rate starting today until September 7.

The feature will be available for other devices by that time as well. However, it's unclear which devices will be supported by then.

To enable the feature, you need to have the latest version of the game and select the correct settings in the game's graphics settings. After that, you should see the option to enable 90Hz mode on the same page.

With the exception of the recently launched OnePlus Nord, all OnePlus phones with a refresh rate of 90Hz or higher support PUBG Mobile's new mode.

This means that the OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T series and OnePlus 8 series are supported.

Presumably, the OnePlus Nord's chipset isn't fast enough for this cheaper model to render gaming graphics at 90Hz.
