SMIC's second quarter sales increased 18.7 percent to $938.5 million compared to $790.9 million in the same period last year and was up by 3.7 percent compared to $904.9 million in the first quarter.
Gross profit for the second quarter was $248.6 million, an increase of 6.4 percent from $233.6 million in the first quarter and an increase of 64.5 percent from $151.2 million in the same period last year, the company said in its financial statement to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
