In response to the US technology crackdown, Huawei has launched a backup plan as scheduled.
According to chinastarmarket.cn, this plan includes the "Nanniwan" project, which is intended to circumvent the application of American technology in its products.
The "Nanniwan" campaign refers to the mass production activities carried out by the Chinese army in Nanniwan during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. The aim was to overcome economic difficulties, achieve self-sufficiency in production and uphold a lasting war of resistance.
By naming the project after "Nanniwan," Huawei is intended to convey the idea that during difficult times it hope to achieve self-sufficiency, the report said citing an unnamed source.
In the process, products such as laptops, smart screens and IoT home smart products, which are completely independent of US influence, are included in the Nanniwan project, the person said.
Huawei's consumer business unit is accelerating the laptop and smart screen products business. On August 17, Huawei's new summer event, will launch a new laptop and other products, the report said.
The CPU chip process of Huawei's new laptop is still unknown, but industry sources said Huawei's new laptops do not contain any components that apply US technology.
