OnePlus has launched new, more affordable U-series and Y-series Android TVs in India.
They include three models: a 55-inch 4K model, a 43-inch Full HD model and a 32-inch HD Models.
These TVs run Android TV Pie and come with OnePlus' custom content interface, called OxygenPlay.
Of the three TV models, the 55-inch flagship model in the U-series gets more attention than the other two, with an ultra-streamlined metal chassis and aluminum frame.
It has a thicker module on the back that hosts the motherboard, speaker assembly and ports, covered with a layer of textured carbon fiber material that allows the appearance of the TV looks premium.
The 55-inch TV panel has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and supports 93% DCI-P3 color gamut. It also supports HDR, including Dolby Vision, HDR10/10 + and HLG. OnePlus refers to the entire package as a "cinematic display".
The OnePlus TV U series has a dedicated Gamma Engine, which identifies different scenes by recognizing and faces, using dynamic gamma curves to optimize colors.
The Gamma Engine also enables motion estimation, motion compensation (MEMC) for frame rate enhancement, and the use of dynamic gamma curves to optimize colors. Smooth sharp creases with anti-aliasing.
Inside the OnePlus TV U1 is a quad-core MediaTek MT5887 chipset with four The Cortex A53 core is complemented by 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
On the audio front, the OnePlus TV U1 is equipped with 30W speakers, including two full-range speakers and two USB speakers. Two tweeters and Dolby Atmos support is also included.
The OnePlus TV U1 also comes with a smart remote control, with dedicated Netflix and Amazon Prime Video Button.
The more affordable OnePlus TV Y series comes in two models: a 43-inch Full HD model and a 32-inch HD ready (1366×768) model.
Both TVs also support the same color accuracy and Gamma Engine optimization for improved color and dynamic Contrast, anti-aliasing and noise reduction features, but lacks more advanced motion compensation (MEMC) features.
OnePlus TV Y1 43 and 32 with a 20W speaker configuration and Dolby Audio support. . Both TVs are designed with significantly more affordability in mind than the flagship models in the U series, with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
The new TV also supports Oxygen Connect, which can be used with Android or iOS devices to control the TV.
The OnePlus TV U1 55-inch is priced at INR 49,999, the OnePlus TV Y1 43-inch costs INR 22,999, and the 32-inch model costs 12,999 Indian rupees. The three TVs will be available through Amazon India from July 5.
