This week, Huawei introduced Uber's competitor Bolt to AppGallery. Bolt, an Estonian-based online car-hailing company, has been a major player in the European market ( (including London) and is quickly gaining a huge following of loyal users.
After distancing itself from the Google Play Store, Huawei has worked hard over the past year to enhance its AppGallery.
The services offered by Bolt vary in different market areas. For example, in addition to online dating, it offers guidance on bike and scooter trips and is even considering launching a food delivery service in the future.
For Huawei smartphone users overseas, adding Bolt to AppGallery is a welcome addition because they have not been able to easily access the Uber app since the trade restrictions imposed by the US government last year.
In terms of mapping apps, Huawei also introduced Here WeGo Maps for AppGallery, which was originally launched in 2013 for Nokia's Windows Phones.
Despite not having easy access to Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and other popular apps, Huawei AppGallery still offers a wide range of apps including Viber, Options including Telegram, TikTok, Tinder, Zoom, Badoo and more.
