Huawei takes another step forward with open source software, announcing to open source openLooKeng, an open source data virtualization engine.
The open source community (https://openlookeng.io) is also online.
openLooKeng is committed to providing a minimalist data analysis experience for big data users, allowing users to use "big data" as "database".
On November 19, 2019, Huawei announced HetuEngine, the open-source version of its data virtualization engine (HetuEngine is called openHetu). Today, openHetu has officially changed its name to openLooKeng and HetuEngine has changed its name to LooKengEngine.
openLooKeng is an open source high-performance data virtualization engine.
It provides a unified SQL interface with cross-data source/data center analysis capabilities and converged query scenarios for interactivity, batch and stream.
It also enhances the pre-scheduling, cross-source indexing, dynamic filtering, cross-source collaboration, horizontal expansion and other capabilities.
In addition, the project also provides the highly reliable and scalable data source connector framework from Coordinator AA, which makes it easy for users and Big Data solution partners to use openLooKeng.
openLooKeng uses Presto, the industry's famous open source SQL engine, to provide interactive query analysis infrastructure.
It is developed in converged scenario query, cross-data center/cloud, data source scaling, performance, reliability, security, etc. to make data governance and use simpler.
As an open source community , openLooKeng open source project uses business-friendly Apache License 2.0 release license, and look forward to more developers in the big data space participating in the community, building and sharing together to promote the community's Prosperous Development.
