China's wearable device market down 11.3% yoy in Q1

China's wearable device market saw 17.62 million shipments in the first quarter of 2020, down 11.3% year-on-year, IDC data shows.

Shipments of basic wearables (wearables that do not support third-party apps) were 14.86 million units, down 5.5 percent year-over-year. Smart wearable device shipments were 2.76 million units, down 33.3 percent year-over-year.

The top five vendors in China by shipments in the first quarter of 2020 were Huawei, Xiaomi, Apple, Lexin and BBK.

Huawei shipped 4,282,000 units, up 18.8% year-on-year, ranking first.

Xiaomi shipped 4.144 million units, down 0.6% year-on-year, ranking second.

Apple shipped 2.848 million units, up 15.2 percent year-on-year, ranking third.
