Chang Guang Satellite today signed an agreement with Huawei to collaborate on cutting-edge technologies such as ICT infrastructure and cloud computing, as well as satellite remote sensing data and products and integrated data service platforms.
Chang Guang Satellite said it is currently accelerating the construction of the "Jilin-1" satellite constellation. At present, 16 satellites have been successfully operated in orbit. These satellites have achieved record high technical indexes and functional modes, and have strong data service capabilities.
Chang Guang Satellite will take this contract as an opportunity to work with Huawei to integrate satellite big data with high technologies such as cloud, AI and 5G, and to jointly explore the market by upgrading key technologies and driving product innovation.
Mr. Hou Jinlong, President of Huawei Cloud & Computing BG, said that Chang Guang Satellite and Huawei are industry leaders in satellite remote sensing and ICT (information and communications) infrastructure respectively.
Huawei will help Chang Guang Satellite improve the informatization level of satellite remote sensing data and application products, and work with Chang Guang Satellite to build a more intelligent, convenient and accurate satellite remote sensing service system, he said.
The two sides will promote the wide application of satellite remote sensing in agriculture and forestry production, environmental monitoring, smart cities, geographic mapping, land planning and other fields.
