China is adding more than 10,000 5G base stations per week, with 7 million more 5G users in April and a total of more than 36 million already, said Miao Wei, China's Minister of Industry and Information Technology, today.
Liu Duo, director of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), said that 5G development in China is currently going well, and by the end of this year 5G package users are expected to reach 150 million.
The latest data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that as of mid-May, China has opened more than 200,000 5G base stations.
As of the end of March, the scale of 5G package users in China has exceeded 50 million, and the pace of 5G propulsion continues to accelerate.
