As of the first quarter of 2020, Huawei has shipped 15 million units of 5G mobile phones, ranking first in the Chinese 5G phone market.
The Huawei 2020 Analyst Conference was held recently. Sheng Xing, vice president of Huawei's consumer business mobile phone product line, shared Huawei's progress in 5G at the conference.
Sheng Xing said that by the first quarter of 2020, Huawei 5G mobile phone shipments of 15 million units, in the global 5G mobile phone market shipments accounted for 33, 2%, in China 5G mobile phone market shipments accounted for 55.4%, ranking first in the market.
As of May 2020, Huawei has released more than 19 5G phones with prices ranging from 2,000 yuan - 16,000 yuan and up.
Global demand for 5G handsets soared in the first quarter of the year, with shipments topping last year's 18.7 million to 24.1 million units, according to a new report released by market research firm Strategy Analytics.
Among them, Samsung took first place with 8.3 million units shipped and a market share of 34.4%.
Huawei is ranked No. 2 with 8 million units shipped and a 33.2% market share, including the Glory line of mobile phones.
Vivo shipped 2.9 million units with a 12% market share.
Xiaomi shipped 2.5 million units with a market share of 10.4%.
