The POCO F2 Pro has been released and the latest offering from this Xiaomi sub-brand boasts a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Snapdragon 865 processor, four cameras at the rear, plus a pop-up selfie camera, starting at less than $550.

The POCO F2 Pro features a large AMOLED touchscreen with an extremely small bezel. It has a resolution of 2400ร—1080, a brightness of 500 nits (up to 800 nits in high brightness mode), and supports HDR10+.

It is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 on top and an in-screen fingerprint sensor embedded underneath. At the top is a pop-up camera that takes 20-megapixel stills.

It also supports 120 fps slow motion and has a built-in multicolor notification light. As we've seen on other smartphones, the F2 Pro automatically recognizes if a drop has occurred and quickly retracts the selfie camera to a safe position.

On the back, there are four cameras. The main sensor is the 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 with f/1.89 optical anti-shake, autofocus, 6P lens. It uses a four-in-one super pixel that combines data from adjacent pixels into a better quality terminal picture. It can also shoot 8K 24fps or 4K 60fps video, and offers a Pro mode for focusing and exposure control of photos and videos.

Next to it is a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a 123-degree lens, and a 5-megapixel macro camera with autofocus and f/2.2 lens. Finally, there's a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The POCO F2 Pro comes pre-installed with the Android 10-based MIUI operating system and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The more affordable POCO F2 Pro version has 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage; its more expensive version has 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

POCO used its LiquidCool technology 2.0 with a new vapor chamber and other tweaks that reduced the CPU core temperature by 14 degrees Celsius.

The POCO F2 Pro supports WiFi 6 and 5G, as well as dual card standby (one 4G, one 5G). the POCO F2 Pro even supports an IR remote and 3.5mm headphone jack. the POCO F2 Pro comes with a built-in 4700 mAh battery that can be charged via USB-C. Supporting 30W wired fast charging, going from 0 to 100% in 63 minutes, POCO also included a 33W charger in the box.

The POCO F2 Pro measures 163.3mm x 75.4mm x 8.9mm and weighs 218g and will be available in Neon Blue, Electric Violet, Digital Grey and Phantom White.
