In April, China's mobile phone market overall shipments of 47.728 million units, up 14.2% year-on-year; from January to April, China's mobile phone market overall shipments totaled 9.0681 million units, down 20.1%.
According to the report, in April 2020, China's mobile phones listed 48 new models, an increase of 14.3% year-on-year, and from January to April, listed new models totaled 137, a decrease of 18.0%.
In April, the Chinese market 5G mobile phone shipments of 16.382 million units, accounting for 39.3% of the same period of mobile phone shipments; listed 22 new models, accounting for 45.8% of the number of mobile phone listed new models.

1. General situation of the Chinese mobile phone market
In April 2020, China's overall mobile phone market shipments totaled 41.728 million units, up 14.2% year-on-year; from January to April, China's overall mobile phone market shipments totaled 9.0681 million units, down 20.1%.
In April 2020, China launched 48 new models of mobile phones, up 14.3% year-on-year, and from January to April, a total of 137 new models were launched, down 18.0% year-on-year.
2. 5G mobile phone development
In April 2020, the Chinese market shipped 16.382 million 5G mobile phones, accounting for 39.3% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 22 new models were listed, accounting for 45.8% of the number of new models listed in the same period.
From January to April, China shipped 30.441 million 5G mobile phones and 65 new models were launched, accounting for 33.6% and 47.4% respectively.
3. Composition of foreign brands in China's mobile phone market
In April 2020, Chinese brand mobile phone shipments totaled 37.982 million units, up 11.9% year-on-year, accounting for 91.0% of mobile phone shipments over the same period.
From January to April, China-made brand mobile phone shipments totaled 81.033 million units, down 22.7% year-on-year, accounting for 89.4% of mobile phone shipments over the same period.
A total of 123 new models were listed, down 16.3% year-on-year, accounting for 89.8% of the number of new models listed over the same period.
Development of smartphones in China
In April 2020, 40.782 million smartphones were shipped, up 17.2% year-on-year and accounting for 97.7% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.
In January-April, smartphone shipments totaled 88.518 million units, down 17.9 percent year-on-year and accounting for 97.6 percent of mobile phone shipments in the same period.
China's smartphone shipments and share
In April 2020, 32 new models of smartphones were launched, down 5.9% year-on-year and accounting for 66.7% of the number of new models launched in the same period.
From January to April, a total of 106 new smartphone models were listed, down 19.7% year-on-year, accounting for 77.4% of the number of new models listed in the same period.
