Huawei has joined forces with 18 Chinese car companies to establish the "5G car ecosphere" in order to accelerate the commercial process of 5G technology in the automotive industry.

According to Huawei's official website, these companies are: FAW Group (FAW Hongqi, FAW Pentium, FAW Jiefang), Changan Automobile, Dongfeng Group (Dongfeng Passenger Cars, Dongfeng Xiaokang), SAIC Group (SAIC Passenger Cars, SAIC GM Wuling), BAIC Group (BAIC New Energy), BYD, Great Wall Motor, Chery Holdings, JAC, Yutong (Bus), Ceres, Nanjing Iveco, T3 Chuxing.

Huawei said that 5G cars have become a strategic high point and innovation hotspot for the development of the automotive industry, and the high speed, low latency and high reliability of 5G technology will open up a whole new imaginary space for scenarios such as intelligent network connection, intelligent transportation, and automatic driving.

The new driving experience and entertainment experience that consumers can perceive, as well as the full-scene experience of people, cars, and homes are the focus of innovation in the future 5G vehicles, and are the direction that many car companies and Huawei are working together.

Since the release of the world's first 5G vehicle module MH5000 in April 2019, Huawei has provided products and technologies such as the 5G vehicle module MH5000 and the 5G vehicle terminal T-Box platform to ecosphere partners and many automotive enterprises, supporting the application innovation of 5G vehicles and 5G+C-V2X intelligent network connectivity.

Over the past year, many international and domestic car companies have launched various innovations in automatic driving, intelligent Internet connection, and information services based on Huawei's 5G in-vehicle communication products and solutions, allowing consumers to gradually perceive the value of 5G technology in cars.

As an extension of the intelligent network connection ecosphere, after the establishment of this 5G car ecosphere, Huawei hopes to use the advantages of car incremental parts, full-scene experience for consumers 1+8+N and the ability of 5G network solutions.

Huawei says the next two years will be a key year for the 5G car development and hopes to jointly explore truly valuable 5G car applications through the ecosystem platform so that consumers can finally enjoy the super experience that 5G cars bring.

Huawei said that the 5G car ecosphere welcomes more car companies and partners to join together and contribute to the prosperity of the 5G car industry and ecology.
