With the release of AMD's Ryzen 4000 series of mobile processors, Lenovo has announced two more ThinkPad laptops.
The first models announced are called ThinkPad E14 and ThinkPad E15, which you can get in June for $639.
The two ThinkPad laptops will be powered by AMD's Ryzen 7 4700U chip.
This isn't a huge surprise, as Lenovo announced back in February that a number of other upcoming ThinkPad laptops, including the T14s, T14, X13, L14, and L15 will also feature Ryzen processors (Ryzen Pro 4000 series).
But we now have a release date for these products as well - they'll be available in June as well.
The Ryzen 7 4700U is an octa-core processor based on AMD's 7nm Zen 2 architecture designed for ultra-thin laptops, and it's proving to be one of the fastest 15W processors we've seen in systems today, and it's a major competitor to Intel's low-power Core i7 chips.
Lenovo ThinkPad X13 is the most portable notebook in the series
Lenovo also announced the new ThinkPad T, X, and L series with AMD Ryzen PRO 4000 series processors.
According to the publicity, the Lenovo ThinkPad 14 Gen 1 series of ThinkPad T14s is expected to have a battery life of 16 hours, body thickness of 17.9 mm, and weight of 1.46 kg, while the upgraded T14s model has an even greater battery life of 20 hours.
The ThinkPad T14s has a slimmer profile with a body thickness of 16.1mm and a weight starting at 1.27kg. The smaller ThinkPad X13 model, on the other hand, has a battery life of 17.5 hours, is 16.9mm thick, and weighs just 1.28kg. This makes the ThinkPad X13 the lightest in its announced body pile.
Lenovo ThinkPad L15 with Ryzen 4000 Pro Mobile Edition
Positioned a bit lower in the new Lenovo ThinkPad lineup are the L14 and L15 models, with the L14 being the largest at 20.4mm thick, while the L15 is slightly bulky at 21mm thick.
The ThinkPad L14 will start at 1.61kg, while the L15 will weigh over 1.98kg.
Both products have an estimated battery life of 14 hours, and Lenovo says it used the MobileMark14 benchmark test to get this figure.
All Lenovo ThinkPad T, X, and L series models will feature AMD's latest Ryzen 4000 PRO mobile series processors with additional built-in security features, as well as Lenovo's Self-Healing BIOS and Lenovo ThinkShield.
Lenovo says these AMD processor-equipped laptops feature an upgraded design with an 85 percent screen-to-body ratio, and they come with new security features, including a touch-screen fingerprint reader and an optional infrared camera that automatically locks the laptop when you go far.
For remote work, the new E-Series laptops feature Harman-branded speakers, dual-array far-field microphones, Wi-Fi 6 support, and hotkeys for quick calls to Microsoft Teams or Skype for Business.
Like all ThinkPad laptops, they have passed various MIL-STD-810G tests.
Pricing-wise, the E14 and E15 both start at $639, the T14 starts at $849, the T14s start at $1029, the X13 starts at $849, and the L14 and L15 both start at $649.
