Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip is one of the most reviewed models in the past while. While it's not cheap, recent data suggests that the high price hasn't deterred consumer interest in the foldable device.
Samsung Electronics delivered 230,000 Galaxy Z Flip phones to the world in March, up a whopping 56.1 percent from the 147,000 units reported in February, according to Econotimes.
Although compared to the Galaxy S20 series (which is estimated to have sold 350,000 units in the U.S. in the first two weeks of sales), sales of the Galaxy Z Flip are not good.
But considering the impact of the new coronavirus, figures like this would suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip could soon become the world's best-selling foldable smartphone.
In January (four months after the Galaxy Fold launched), Samsung announced that it had sold between 400,000 and 500,000 Galaxy Folds, while the Galaxy Z Flip sold 377,000 devices just a month and a half after opening, which is still a pretty good score.
Foldable smartphones still have a long way to go to become mainstream, but industry analysts predict that demand for them will grow 100-fold by 2025.
