MediaTek today unveiled its latest chip, the Helio G85, which packs a 1GHz ARM Mali-G52 GPU and a new HyperEngine engine.
The Helio G85 features two 2GHz Cortex-A75 cores and six 1.8GHz Cortex-A55 cores with GPUs up to 1GHz.
In comparison, the Helio G80 has a GPU frequency of 950MHz.
MediaTek says the Helio G85 intelligently predicts Wi-Fi and LTE concurrency, and the chip can switch between networks in 13 milliseconds to provide latency-free connectivity.
On May 1, Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro overseas, and the Redmi Note 9 features the new MediaTek Helio G85 chip.
