Samsung has now started internal testing for the Galaxy Note 9's OneUI 2.1 firmware.
The latest test firmware version of Note 9 is N9600ZCU4ETD6.DM/N9600CHC4ETD6/N9600ZCU4ETD6 and was first discovered on May 2, 2020.
This also indicates that the official OneUI 2.1 firmware for the Galaxy Note 9 will be pushed to users in the future.
Earlier, a forum moderator from the Galaxy Note software team claimed that One UI 2.1 for the Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9 is in development, adding that a beta version should be available soon.
OneUI2.1 brings an improved UI and features that were originally introduced on the Galaxy S20 series. It brings improvements in AR emoji such as manual editing and better facial expression recognition.
This update also makes the Gallery app more organized. There's also a new Quick Crop feature that allows users to cut images directly without having to open the edit menu. The Quick Crop button will be visible in the upper left corner of the image.
All this is in addition to features like quick sharing and music sharing.
The Samsung keyboard has also been updated with multilingual translation, slide-based text undo/redo, and easier access to emoticons and stickers.
