Previous internal China Mobile documents show that the Chinese operator and Xiaomi will jointly launch the Redmi K30i, a 5G phone with a lower price than the Redmi K30 5G at 1,799 yuan (USD 254).
Now XDA has found evidence that the developer has found a trace of the "Redmi K30i" in the MIUI camera code, which is powered by a 48 million camera.
This confirms that the Redmi K30i will be the official name of the new Redmi 5G, and the recently released 48-megapixel version of the Redmi K30 is the upcoming K30i.
Its main camera has been reduced from 64 megapixels to 48 megapixels for the Redmi K30 5G, which means that the Redmi K30i will be priced below $1999, which will undoubtedly be the lowest priced 5G phone to date, not ruling out the possibility of $1799.
The Redmi K30i features a 120Hz full screen, FHD+ screen resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G mobile platform, SA and NSA dual mode 5G support, 4500mAh battery and 30W flash charging.
It's worth noting that in addition to the new Redmi K30 5G, Redmi has also prepared a new 5G machine, the Redmi Note 10 series (tentatively named).
Previously Xiaomi Group China president and Redmi brand general manager Lu Weibing hinted that Redmi will use MediaTek Dimensity 800 SOC, which is MediaTek's mid-range chip for the 5G market, supporting SA, NSA dual mode 5G, is expected to be used on the Redmi Note series of new products.
