U.S. tech firm InterDigital said Tuesday that it has reached a worldwide patent licensing agreement with Huawei and that the two companies have resolved all litigation between them.
InterDigital said in regulatory filings that the licensing agreement, which runs through 2023, covers royalties on some of the 3G, 4G and 5G wireless communications products sold by Huawei.
InterDigital said the companies also terminated more than 15 months of litigation filed in China and the United Kingdom.
InterDigital and Qualcomm are the two major U.S. patent holders for wireless networking technology. InterDigital has long generated revenue by developing wireless technology and then licensing patents.
The terms of the agreement between the two companies to settle the dispute were not disclosed.
