Dutch tech blog LetsGoDigital has just exposed a new Xiaomi patent that features the ability to rotate the top screen area of the body a bit, making the rear camera more user-friendly for selfies.
In fact, the smartphone market has seen flip-camera offerings from very early on, such as OPPO's N1 and N3 (the latter is still electric).
Back in April 2019, Samsung also came out with the Galaxy A80 option with a rear-facing flip-triple camera.

By mid-2019, Xiaomi had filed this design patent application with the State Intellectual Property Office, though it was not approved for public release until April 24, 2020.
The textual description of the patent is also concise, and the average person can get an idea of the design of this concept body through the 24 illustrations that accompany it.
The full screen, for example, has a super narrow bezel with different buttons on either side and a USB-C connector and dual-speaker opening at the bottom.
In normal mode, the rear camera with flash can shoot like a normal collection.
But if you want to take a selfie on the screen, just twist the top section around horizontally.
In comparison, the camera flip scheme of the Samsung Galaxy A80, priced at 650 euros, is more like a pole vaulting competitor over the bar.
Finally, while Xiaomi didn't reveal more details, we imagine the concept could also have this small display area always positioned on the back of the body to allow users to glimpse information like time on certain occasions.
