The color e-ink reader C1 from Chinese tech company iFlytek is on sale today for 1,488 yuan (USD 210).
iFlytek's color e-ink reader uses E Ink Corporation's newly released 6-inch HD printed color e-ink reader with a resolution of 1448ร1072 and can display 4096 colors.
It is also configured with a 24-level reading light and integrated speakers.
The e-reader weighs 150 grams, is 6.9 mm thick, and can be held in one hand to fit in a pocket or carry-on bag.
It is suitable for use in children's picture books, comic picture books and illustrated books.
iFlytek addresses the problem of insufficient color saturation by implementing a picture color enhancement mechanism to improve the sharpness of its display in comics and illustrated books.
iFlytek has also optimized its display mode switching algorithm for the different resolutions of color and black and white modes (300 PPI and 212 PPI, respectively), improving the smoothness of its transitions.
The tuned color e-ink reader is relatively more saturated, with a sharper display and smoother page turning.
