Samsung is the leader in the field of display panels. If it is subdivided into smartphone OLED panels, Samsung's dominant position is even more irresistible.
Statistics from Stone Partners show that at the end of last year, Samsung Display took 88.1% of the OLED panel shipments of smart phones, ranking first.
The second place is EDO (Shanghai Hehui Optoelectronics), with a share of 5.7%, and the third place is Visionox, with a share of 5.6%. The 4th to 5th places are Tianma and BOE, but their shares do not exceed 1%.
Stone Partners also gave an estimate for the first quarter of this year, saying that Samsung achieved 61.6 million smart phone OLED shipments in the quarter, with a share of 90.2%. The 2 ~ 5 winners are Hehui Optoelectronics, Visionox, Tianma and BOE, and their shares are 4.9%, 4.5%, 0.4% and 0.1% respectively.
In fact, judging from the various Snapdragon 865 mobile phones released in the first half of the year, the proportion of Samsung screens is indeed very high. In addition to Samsung mobile phones equipped with their own AMOLED panels, the three generations of iPhone X to iPhone 11 Pro are Samsung's super customers.
