Huawei releases P40 series in China, starting at $593-CnTechPost

Huawei released three mobile phones of the P40 series in China today, priced at 4,188 yuan ($593). The P40 and P40 Pro will be on sale on April 8 at 10:08 pm, and P40 Pro+ will be on sale on June 1.

The P40 has a resolution of 2,340x1,080 with a 6.1-inch screen. The P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ are equipped with a 6.58-inch screen with a resolution of 2640x1200 pixels.

P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ are 90Hz refresh rate, weighing 209 grams and 226 grams, respectively, are IP68 dust and waterproof. P40 is IP53 dust and water resistant.

The P40 series body has five colors: bright black, zero-degree white, deep ocean blue, morning gold, and frost silver. The new matte process used in the last two colors presents a matte texture.

As for the P40 Pro+ body, it is made of special ceramic materials, which are available in ceramic black and ceramic white.

The P40 is equipped with three rear cameras, a 50-megapixel main camera, RYYB sensor, f/1.9 aperture; an ultra-wide-angle camera with 16 million pixels, f/2.2 aperture, and an equivalent focal length of 7mm; a telephoto camera with 8 million pixels f/2.4 aperture, support OIS optical image stabilization, equivalent to 80mm.

The P40 Pro uses four rear cameras, which are the 50-megapixel main camera, which is still the RYYB sensor, f/1.9 aperture, and supports OIS optical image stabilization.

Its ultra-wide-angle camera is 40 million pixels, f/1.8 aperture, equivalent to 18mm; telephoto camera is 12 million pixels, also a RYYB sensor, f/3.4 aperture, supporting OIS optical image stabilization, equivalent to 125mm; the fourth The camera is a ToF time-of-flight lens that can construct depth information.

P40 Pro+ uses the back shell of the new nano-ceramics technology. According to Richard Yu, the hardness and scratch resistance of this nano-ceramics are greatly improved, and the hardness is comparable to sapphire glass.

The P40 Pro+ is equipped with five rear cameras: a 50-megapixel main camera, RYYB sensor, f/1.9 aperture, and OIS optical image stabilization.

Its super wide-angle camera is 40 million pixels, f/1.8 aperture, equivalent to 18mm; telephoto camera is 8 million pixels, f/2.4 aperture, supporting OIS optical image stabilization, equivalent to 80mm.

Its super telephoto camera is 8-million-pixel periscope, f/4.4 aperture, supports OIS optical image stabilization, equivalent to 240mm. The fifth camera is the ToF camera.

Huawei P40 series is equipped with Kirin 990 5G SOC, supports 5G smart dual card, and supports SA and NSA dual mode 5G.

At the same time, Huawei P40 series supports Wi-Fi 6+ with speeds up to 2,400Mbps.

In addition, P40 Pro+ supports 40W wireless super-fast charging and reverse charging.

The Huawei P40 6GB + 128GB version costs 4,188 yuan ($593), the 8GB + 128GB version costs 4,488 yuan, and the 8GB + 256GB version costs 4,988 yuan. It will be sold separately at 10:08 pm on April 8.

The Huawei P40 Pro 8GB + 128GB version is priced at 5,988 yuan, the 8GB + 256GB version is priced at 6,488 yuan, and the 8GB + 512GB version is priced at 7,388 yuan. It is officially on sale at 10:08 this evening.

The Huawei P40 Pro 8GB + 256GB limited set is priced at 6,888 yuan and will be officially released at 10:08 tonight.

The P40 Pro+ 8GB + 256GB version is priced at 7,988 yuan, and the 8GB + 512GB version is priced at 8,888 yuan. It will be officially released on June 1.
