Today, China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom jointly released a rich media messaging service -- 5G messaging service.
The 5G messaging service not only supports multimedia message interaction between individual users, but also enables industry customers to provide their users with new digital interactive services based on rich media. Today, the three major operators jointly released a white paper on 5G news.
According to the white paper, operators' traditional short message service cannot meet the diversified needs of users due to their simple functions and limited experience.
When the advent of 5G, global operators have reached a consensus that traditional SMS services need to be upgraded to rich media messaging services. Operators call this 5G messaging service.
Dong Xin, deputy general manager of China Mobile, said that 5G messaging is a common choice for global operators. Based on the unified GSMA RCS standard, it will bring customers a new experience in multimedia messaging, business messaging, intelligent messaging, interactive services, security and anti-counterfeiting.
5G messages are constructed based on the GSMA RCS UP standard, which can achieve multimedia and lightweight messages. The introduction of MaaP technology enables the interaction of industry messages.
5G messages bring a new human-computer interaction mode. Users can complete a one-stop business experience such as service search, discovery, interaction, and payment in the message window, and build a new information service portal.
5G messages support rich media formats, including text, pictures, audio and video, etc.
The 5G messaging service is divided into two categories, one is the interaction between individual users and individual users, and the other is the interaction between industry customers and individual users.
The messages of individual users and individual users are also divided into point-to-point messages, group sending messages and group chat messages.
For individual users, 5G messages will break the length limitation of each message by traditional SMS, and will also break through the text limitation in terms of content, so as to effectively integrate text, pictures, audio, video, location and other information.
For enterprises, 5G messaging will provide an information interaction interface with individual users.
Enterprises can output personalized services and consultations to users through rich media such as text, voice, and tabs.
According to the GSMA plan, 5G terminals will support 5G messaging services in the future, and the relevant standards have been completed.
In the future, users can easily use 5G messaging services by replacing 5G mobile phones or upgrading existing 4G / 5G mobile phones.
