Chromium OS can now be used on the Honor MagicBook

Chromium OS and FydeOS have always been committed to running on more hardware platforms and devices, bringing a quality experience to more users. Now FydeOS for Honor MagicBook 2019 Preview1 is released.

Chromium OS can now be used on the Honor MagicBook

FydeOS is an operating system based on the Chromium OS open source project. You can create a local account to log in without Google services.

It comes with a complete desktop version of the Chromium browser, and is compatible with Android programs and Linux programs with GUI through container technology. It is a cloud-driven operating system for the future.

As the first FydeOS for You version adapted to the AMD Ryzen platform, FydeOS for Honor MagicBook 2019 Preview1 is currently the first and only fully functional Chromium OS branch on the AMD Ryzen platform.

The Honor MagicBook 2019 adapted to this version will also become the first AMD Ryzen "Chromebook" and can be used in mainland China.

Like other mainstream FydeOS versions, this Preview version contains:

Chromium r80 browser desktop version

H.264 / 5 decoder and Widevine DRM

Android subsystem and compatibility with Android programs

The Linux subsystem and the default Debian 10 environment

FydeOS web account and all preferences synchronization function

System level support for the personal version of JMGO Cloud Disk

System level support of Kuan Android Store

System-level support for Flintstone Transfer (drop.fydeos.com)

Huawei Honor MagicBook 2019 (Ryzen 3500U) is a portable notebook computer. The device ships with a "third-party Linux operating system" by default.  Today, FydeOS offers a unique option for this product.
