PC users, especially gamers, have always loved the mechanical keyboard. At the Mate 30 series conference on September 26 last year, a simulated mechanical keyboard jointly created by Huawei, Baidu Input Method and Cherry came to a mobile phone.
The so-called simulated mechanical keyboard combines the technical characteristics of the X-axis linear motor to highly restore the tactile feel of the Cherry physical mechanical keyboard shaft, and the mechanical shaft simulation technology of Baidu Input Method is added to support the three shaft bodies of green shaft, tea shaft and red shaft.
The simulation mechanical keyboard technology supports Mate 30, Mate 20, P30, P20 four high-end flagship series models, but I rarely heard about it during this time.
Interestingly, users found that the newly released Honor 30S actually supports emulated mechanical keyboards.
The use method is very simple, just enable the Baidu input method that comes with the EMUI system, and then select the simulated mechanical keyboard in the settings menu, open it, and choose different skins, including Chery MX 9.0, Chery 8.0 red and white, Chery classic Black, Chery 8.0 pure white.
However, because the Honor 30S is not equipped with an X-axis linear motor, the function of the simulated mechanical keyboard is also limited, and different shaft bodies cannot be selected, and only the default settings can be used.
Of course, Honor has also calculated the algorithm of the start and stop speed of the rotor motor of the Honor 30S and adjusted and optimized it. While taking into account the heavy vibration of the rotating motor, the start and stop speed can also be close to the linear motor to a certain extent.
