"How to buy your first rocket?" On the morning of April 1, what Taobao posted on Weibo sparked heated discussions. ย

Soon many other Weibo users asked: "Is it true?" And media reports were also taking it as a joke: "This is a very high probability for April Fools' joke."

But then people from Taobao Live confirmed: "It's true, it's true." Tonight (April 1) at 20:30, Taobao anchor Wei Ya will indeed launch a "rocket launch service" with a price of about 40 millionย  yuan.

The rocket model to be "on the shelf" this time is the Kuaizhou No. 1 solid-state carrier rocket.

This rocket was developed by Hubei Enterprise Aerospace Science and Technology Rocket Technology Co., Ltd. It is a mature small solid-state carrier rocket that has been successfully launched for eight times.

The price of a rocket for a commercial launch is generally around 45 million yuan. It can not only launch the rocket, but also paint on the rocket and the launching body painting. At the same time, consumers can visit the site in person and direct the rocket launch.

However, in the Taobao live broadcast room, the price will be as low as about 40 million.

Cao Meng, director of the marketing department of Aerospace Science and Technology Rocket Technology Co., Ltd., said that he saw on Weibo a few days ago that Taobao initiated a vote and asked everyone what they wanted to buy in the live broadcast room.ย  Many netizens joked they wanted to buy a rocket: "Is the rocket OK?" "I want to go to heaven." Taobao anchor Wei Ya replied to the netizen: "There is no rocket merchant."

Cao Meng was thinking, "Why can't our rocket launch service be sold in Taobao Live Broadcasting?" So he joked in the first half of Weibo that he could provide rockets, but he did not expect to receive the consultation from the Wei Ya team.ย  This led to this "rocket first order."

He also said: "After the news of Taobao Live selling rockets was released, a lot of people came to ask: 'Can I buy if I do nโ€™t launch?' To be honest, I thought about it for a long time, and it seemed like nothing was wrong, butย  If we really just want to put a rocket at home, we still recommend the rocket model. "
