Huawei's rotating chairman hopes Google Apps can be listed on App Gallery

Huawei's rotating chairman Xu Zhijun said today he hoped Google's applications could be listed on Huawei's application market, App Gallery, just like Apple's App Store.

After May 16, 2019, Huawei's new phones cannot be pre-installed with Google's GMS, and Huawei also launched its own HMS.

Huawei held an online conference today to announce its 2019 annual results.

Xu Zhijun said that he expects that Huawei's 5G mobile phones will be sold more overseas, but it is impossible to make predictions, which depends on the construction of Huawei's overseas ecosystem by HMS.

Regarding the decline in Huawei's overseas revenue share in 2019, Huawei's rotating chairman Xu Zhijun said that it is closely related to the unavailability of Google's GMS services.

Consumer business outside China grew rapidly before May 16, 2019, and then declined rapidly, recovering slightly in the fourth quarter.

He said that Huawei's consumer business overseas revenue in 2019 will be affected by at least about 10 billion US dollars.
