Apple and the U.S. federal agencies have jointly released a screening tool application and website. The app is called Apple COVID-19, and it is now available on the App Store in the United States.
This app will guide users from the CDC (United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) on guidance for diseases caused by coronavirus.
It guides users to fill in questions about symptoms, location, and other risk factors, thereby screening their own risks and getting advice from the CDC on what to do next.
The app and website also provide access to official information to help people stay current and get the support they need.
Users will receive answers to frequently asked questions about COVID-19, including who is most at risk and how to identify symptoms.
In addition, they will learn the latest information from the CDC, including best practices for washing hands, disinfecting the surface of objects, and monitoring symptoms.
Earlier, Apple has added a new coronavirus pneumonia self-test questionnaire to Siri. When iPhone users in the United States ask Siri "Am I infected with the new coronavirus?" Siri responds with suggestions based on information from the CDC and the US Public Health Service.
