Chinese flexible screen maker Royole will release its latest foldable phone, the second generation of its FlexPai foldable phone on March 25.
Royole CEO Liu Zihong said that Royole had originally planned to release the second-generation Folding Phone FlexPai 2 at MWC this year, but the MWC was cancelled due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus pneumonia, which disrupted the pace of new product releases.
Therefore, Royole changed the release of the second-generation folding phone FlexPai 2 to March 25, he said.
Previous information showed that the FlexPai 2 will be equipped with Qualcomm's 865 flagship platform, support dual mode 5G, and support both SA and NSA networking. It also supports 7-mode and 46-band, covering major network bands of global operators.
In October 2018, Royole released the world's first folding screen phone FlexPai.
FlexPai uses the self-developed 2nd generation 7.8-inch Cicada-Wide flexible screen. The thickness of the fuselage in the unfolded state is 7.6mm, and it supports horizontal folding.
However, Royole never disclosed sales of the FlexPai foldable phone.
