Apple rejects Covid-19-related entertainment apps in its App Store

A few days ago, the Apple App Store issued a rule for applications involving Covid-19, expressly rejecting all entertainment or game applications with the theme of Covid-19.

Apple states that only developers from "recognized entities" can submit applications, including "government agencies, medical or educational institutions, health-centric NGOs, and health-conscious Company, etc.

Apple encourages developers to mark their Covid-19-related applications as time-sensitive to speed up review.

Apple states that if the government, non-profit organizations, and accredited schools only plan to publish free related apps, there is no need to pay a $99 annual developer fee.

Apple is not the only company that regulates related applications. The Google Play Store has previously banned related applications with misleading information.
