E3 2020, the world's largest game show, will be canceled

One of the most important gaming events of the year, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), was cancelled due to the impact of the new coronavirus outbreak, which was originally planned to be held in June this year.

Bloomberg reported that according to people familiar with the matter, the organizer of E3 Entertainment Software Association (ESA) plans to announce the cancellation of the exhibition at 9:30 am on March 11 (0:30 am on March 12, Beijing time). The private memo states that it is "exploring the possibility of hosting an E3 online show this summer."

According to ArsTechnica, several sources at the E3's organizer, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), said the company will soon issue an official statement. Developer Digital, an independent game developer, also tweeted that everyone who planned to participate in the event cancel flight and hotel reservations.
