The Dark Mode of WeChat for iOS has finished development and is expected to be released when the next new version is updated, the WeChat team said today.
The WeChat team said on Weibo:
In order to optimize the user experience, WeChat has reached a cooperation with Apple to jointly explore the dark mode experience of WeChat in the iOS system. At present, this feature has been developed and will be expected to be launched in the next new version, so stay tuned.
Dark Mode is a new feature added to Android 10 and iOS 13. When Dark Mode is turned on, the entire system will turn black, and the input methods, APPs, and text content that adapt to it will also change color, which is very suitable for night use.
In December last year, the beta version of WeChat 7.0.10 for Android was released. One of the major highlights of the new version is the addition of "Dark Mode" support.
WeChat's "Dark Mode" on Android does not need to be turned on manually. As long as your mobile phone system supports Dark Mode and WeChat 7.0.10 and above are installed, this change can directly occur.
When the phone turns on Dark Mode, WeChat will turn on Dark Mode simultaneously. When the phone turns off Dark Mode, WeChat will automatically return to normal mode.
WeChat's Dark Mode on Android has covered most of the user interface such as login interface, adding friends, circle of friends, chat interface, expression window, voice call, WeChat payment, friends watching, shortcut menu and so on.
In addition to the background turning black, the text and icon colors have also been adapted accordingly. It still looks very harmonious and does not feel too obtrusive.
